Handling one injury claim can be stressful enough. But when a client is involved in multiple accidents close together, the legal and medical issues can quickly become complicated. Through careful investigation, organization, and negotiation, Flattmann Law successfully recovered compensation for a Northshore mother injured in three separate crashes over a three-month period.

Wendy was a hardworking single mother focused on raising her son and balancing the
responsibilities of everyday life on the Northshore. Within a span of just three months, however,
she found herself involved in not one — but three separate motor vehicle accidents in Covington
and Abita Springs.
The first accident occurred when another driver ran a red light and T-boned Wendy’s vehicle.
Before she had fully recovered from those injuries, Wendy was rear-ended in a second collision.
Then, while still undergoing treatment, she was involved in a third accident involving a hit-and-
run driver.
The legal and insurance issues quickly became extremely complicated.
The first two claims involved the same insurance company, while the third claim had to be
pursued through Wendy’s own uninsured/underinsured motorist (UM) coverage because the at-
fault driver fled the scene and could not be identified.
Wendy suffered neck and back injuries as a result of the first collision, and those injuries were
aggravated and worsened by the second and third accidents. In situations involving multiple
crashes close together, it becomes critically important to carefully analyze medical treatment,
timing, symptoms, and billing records in order to properly explain which injuries and treatment
relate to each accident.
Flattmann Law worked closely with Wendy throughout the process and meticulously gathered
and reviewed her medical and billing records. We carefully organized the treatment chronology
and parsed out the medical expenses related to each individual accident. Throughout the claims
process, we remained transparent with the insurance companies and provided them with the full
picture regarding Wendy’s injuries and treatment history.
As a single mother, Wendy was already carrying significant responsibilities outside of her injury
claims. Our goal was to take as much stress off her shoulders as possible so she could focus on
healing and caring for her son while we handled the complicated insurance and legal issues.
Through careful preparation, organization, and negotiation, we were ultimately able to recover a
combined total of $100,745 across all three accident claims.
